I began publishing new exhibitions of contemporary art in May June 1978 on the suggestion of Nicolas Logsdail of Lisson Gallery. At the time Cork Street was the main gallery street & those of us running galleries outside the main stream needed a way of encouraging people to visit our exhibitions.

This was a freelance contract to produce a map & listings for 14 Days, Open Studios in Lewisham.

The East End of London is a major centre for the arts and is rapidly becoming one of the most exciting areas of the City. The number and variety of new venues, facilities and other places of interest is constantly growing, giving rise to an area rich in cultural activities of local, national and international significance.

I worked in the Paris office of Jack Lieslveld, the Journal of Art New York representative there.

My role was to set up a listings page – much as I had done in Art in America for Jack.
